Where can I buy tickets to shows?

Tickets for Nelson Odeon shows can be purchased at the Nelson Odeon Box Office or online via our website (there’s a link next to each show to buy tickets). All online tickets are will call. Simply print out your ticket order confirmation after your online transaction and present at the Nelson Odeon Box Office. Advance sale tickets can also be purchased at the box office on any evening we are presenting a performance. There is no service charge for cash transaction tickets purchased at the Nelson Odeon Box Office, but there is a service charge of $1.25 for credit card sales. Tickets are also available at the Cazenovia Chamber of Commerce during their business hours.

Some performances will be open to Group Rates. If you have a group of 10 or more, please phone the Nelson Odeon at 315-655-9193 for special ticket arrangements.

What’s up with the service charges?

The service charges for online tickets slightly vary depending on ticket price. Service charges are usually around $2.50 per ticket. The Nelson Odeon negotiated with several companies to ultimately provide the lowest service charges possible to the customer for online sales.

Are tickets refundable? What if a show is rescheduled or cancelled?

Tickets are not refundable, all sales are final. If a show is rescheduled, the new date will be immediately posted to this website and your ticket for the original show will be honored at the rescheduled date. If a show is cancelled and no make up date is announced, the ticket is refundable (less service charges unfortunately — our ticketing company’s policy, not ours); the refund will happen automatically if you purchased with a credit card. If you paid cash you need to bring your ticket back to the Nelson Odeon for a refund. Cash refunds are available for 30 days.

Tickets sold through this website grant to the Customer only a revocable license to the bearer that may be revoked at any time for any reason. Resale or attempted resale of any ticket issued hereunder at a price higher than the face value appearing thereon is grounds for seizure and cancellation without compensation. Customer assumes all risk or danger incidental to the attraction, whether occurring prior to, during, or subsequent to, the actual attraction. The terms of sale of each ticket issued pursuant to a transaction initiated on this website are subject to any and all terms imposed by the applicable Promoter. In order to be admitted to an event, each Customer must present the original ticket in its original, undamaged, unaltered form or your ticket order confirmation along with proper ID to the Nelson Odeon Box Office. Entry may be refused for various reasons, including misconduct, intoxication, etc., as determined by the Nelson Odeon Staff.

What is the show cancellation policy in the event of bad weather?

The Nelson Odeon is contractually obligated to pay artists and crew for our performances and therefore rarely cancels a performance for weather. If the artist is here, the show will go on.

Please visit our website for updates. We immediately post notice of cancellations or postponements on the show ticket page. If a show goes on as scheduled we are unable to refund tickets.

Please do not endanger yourself this when the weather is bad, but make sure to give yourself plenty of time to travel and park safely.

Does my two-month/two-year-old child need a ticket?

Yes. Due to local fire codes, every person needs a ticket regardless of whether or not they will be sitting in a seat or on a lap. If there is no specific text with the performance that says children under a certain age are admitted free, you should expect to buy a ticket for all members of your party.

Why does the Nelson Odeon ask for my address and phone when I purchase tickets?

There are many reasons that we require address and phone number information, even if you are buying tickets in person. If you’re paying with a check or credit card, our system requires that we have address and telephone information in order to protect our customers against fraud. Also, if there is ever a cancellation or change to a performance, particularly a date or time change, we need to be able to contact you.

Will you use my phone number for telemarketing or sell it to other organizations?

No. We do not telemarket nor do we sell any customer information to other organizations. Read our privacy policy for more information.

Why isn’t there a student or senior discount available?

Every promoter offers different discounts for tickets to their shows and some offer none at all depending on the performance. But it never hurts to ask if there are any discounted prices for a show.

What time do the doors open to begin seating?

The doors will open 30 minutes before curtain time.

Food and Beverage Policy

We have a variety of desserts and drinks, and popcorn for purchase at every show. Please, no outside food or beverages are allowed.

Do you have assigned seating?

No. All shows are general admission.

Can I bring my camera or recording device to the performance?

Nelson Odeon policies state that no cameras or recording devices are permitted inside the venue unless specifically permitted by the artist. Please check with the Box Office as every performance differs on what is allowed and what is not acceptable to bring inside. In most cases cameras and/or recording devices are not permitted.

May I resell my ticket if I cannot use it?

You may resell your ticket for the face value of it. The Nelson Odeon does not condone the secondary sale of tickets for a value exceeding the purchase price and reserves the right not to do business with any individual known to engage in this practice.

Where may I dance when I attend a show at the Nelson Odeon?

Dancing is allowed, but please be aware of other patrons’ line of sight and comfort.

What happens if I arrive late to the performance?

You will be seated during a suitable break in the performance.

What are the Nelson Odeon’s Box Office's hours of operation?

The box office is open 30 minutes before every performance.  Call or email for other hours during the week.

As a band, how do we get booked at the Odeon?

Please email your interest to jeff@nelsonodeon.com along with your EPK and any upcoming touring dates. We do require at least 90 minutes of original material to be considered for a booking

How do I become involved with the Odeon?

We have a number of ways that you can support us.

  • Buy a ticket to a show and enjoy!
  • Street team - We are always looking for people to put up posters and flyers around the area.  If you know some places (or we can give you a list in a particular area) that posters and flyers could hang, contact us and we will get a block of posters to you.
  • Volunteer for a show night or let us know what you are good at…we always have projects going on that rely on the help of volunteers.
  • Design a poster for our "signature series" posters.
  • Guest Emcee - We are always looking for well-voiced people to take the stage, welcome the audience, and introduce the band.
